NDIS Psychology Services

River Psychology and Counselling provides NDIS psychology services in Como (Perth) and via telehealth across Australia, supporting adolescents (14+) and adults to work toward their individual NDIS goals.

Therapy is tailored and collaborative, with a focus on improving emotional wellbeing, daily functioning, and participation in everyday life. Sessions are grounded in a neurodivergent-affirming and strengths-based approach, recognising and respecting individual differences in how people think, feel, and experience the world.

We support clients to develop greater understanding of their social, emotional and sensory needs and preferences, while exploring their emotional patterns, strengthen coping strategies, and build confidence in navigating relationships, routines, and community participation.

 NDIS Funding & Payment

River Psychology and Counselling works with:

  • Self-managed NDIS participants

  • Plan-managed NDIS participants

Payment and billing process:

  • Self-managed: payment is made at the end of each session

  • Plan-managed: invoices are sent directly to your plan manager

  • Fees are charged in line with current NDIS Pricing Arrangements

We do not currently provide services for NDIA-managed participants.

NDIS Who We Support

We work with adolescents and adults (14+) who are NDIS participants who are Autistic or AuDHD.

NDIS Getting Started

If you are new to the NDIS or unsure whether psychology support is the right fit for your goals, you are welcome to get in touch. We are happy to answer questions and help you understand your options before booking.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved especially for you. To help us provide timely care to all clients, we kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

As appointment times are in high demand, cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed appointments, will incur the full consultation fee. Please note that Medicare rebates are not available for appointments that are cancelled late or not attended.

You'll receive an SMS reminder approximately 72 hours before your appointment. If you need to make any changes, please contact us by phone or SMS on 0435 093 554 or email admin@riverpsychologyandcounselling.com as soon as possible.

Providing adequate notice allows us the opportunity to offer your appointment to another client who may be waiting to access psychological support, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and consideration. If you are experiencing cold or flu symptoms or are otherwise unable to attend in person, telehealth appointments are available and can often be arranged instead of cancelling your session.
